FundX Wins 2020 IMEA STAR Award

FundX won a 2020 Investment Management Education Alliance (IMEA) STAR Award

IMEA has focused on investor education for 50 years, and its STAR Awards program recognizes best-in-class investor communications in the financial community.

We are honored to have won the 2020 STAR Award for investor newsletter for firms managing assets up to $10 billion. Other award winners this year include Matthews Asia (another local San Francisco mutual fund company), Columbia Threadneedle, and T. Rowe Price.

Why investor education matters

We are committed to financial literacy and investor education. We’ve help the next generation get started with investing (see our tips here). We partnered with Junior Achievement and volunteered with local San Francisco elementary school and high school students to teach financial literacy, and we encouraged our clients and other investors to do the same. Learn more about our efforts in this quick video. We were recognized by the Investment Management Education Alliance (IMEA) in 2019 for our community involvement.

In 2020, we started FundX Insights, a free email series that's designed to help investors keep up with rapidly changing markets, make better investment decisions, and stay on track with their investment goals.

Studies show that investor education can make a big difference. “Investors who have a high level of knowledge are more likely to have planned for retirement, less anxious about their finances, and more likely to have emergency savings,” the FINRA (the financial industry regulatory authority) investor education foundation found.
